ENM vs. Polyamory vs. Open Relationships: What's the Actual Difference?

These three terms get used interchangeably a lot, which causes real confusion, because they're not actually synonyms. Here's the clearest way to think about how they relate.

• Ethical non-monogamy (ENM) is the umbrella term. It covers any relationship structure where multiple partners are known and consented to by everyone involved.
